What is Yoinx?
Yoinx is a free-to-play online game platform where players compete head-to-head and in tournaments to win real prizes — grocery coupons, gift cards, ICP cryptocurrency, and Bitcoin. Built entirely on the Internet Computer (ICP) blockchain, every game round, fund transfer, and prize payout is executed on-chain with full transparency and verifiability.
Unlike traditional gaming platforms, Yoinx does not custody user funds in a centralized wallet. Each player's ICP is held in a dedicated subaccount on the official ICP ledger, derived from their unique principal ID. This means your funds are always yours — secured by the same blockchain that powers the Internet Computer network.
How It Works
Built on the Internet Computer
The Internet Computer (ICP) is a decentralized blockchain network created by the DFINITY Foundation. It enables building fully on-chain applications that run at web speed, with smart contracts (called "canisters") that execute transparently and cannot be tampered with.
On-chain game logic
Every round outcome computed and stored on the blockchain
Subaccount custody
Each user has a dedicated ICP ledger subaccount
ICRC-1 transfers
Deposits and withdrawals use the standard ICP token protocol
HTTP outcalls
Canister communicates with Supabase for off-chain data
Verifiable randomness
Game outcomes are deterministic and auditable on-chain
