Yoinx Privacy Policy

How Yoinx handles identity, gameplay, payments metadata, chat, and prize fulfillment — and what stays public on the Internet Computer.

01

Introduction

Yoinx ("we," "our," "us") operates the multiplayer prize floor at yoinx.fun (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we process when you connect, play, deposit, chat, or claim prizes.

Consent

By using the Service you agree to this Policy and our User Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use Yoinx.

02

Information we collect

Identity & profile. Internet Identity principal ID; optional username, email, avatar, cover, referral code, and linked social handles (e.g. X).

Financial & tools metadata. ICP deposit / entry / withdraw records, tool purchases, balances, and claim history as stored off-chain for product UX and on-chain where the ledger / canister requires it. We do not store full traditional card PANs for core ICP play. If a third-party processor is used for any fiat product, they process payment details under their policy; we may receive limited transaction status only.

Gameplay. Table joins, tool actions (Yoinx, Slap, Sneak), wins/losses, practice completions, series progress, and eligibility stats (claim rate, leaderboard metrics).

Device & security. IP address, browser/user-agent, approximate location derived from IP or self-reported geo for geo-fenced tables, and anti-abuse signals.

Prize fulfillment. Shipping address for physical items; pickup notes; coupon redemption context; business partner identifiers when required.

03

How we use information

  • Operate accounts, tables, matchmaking, and the live floor.

  • Process entries, tools, vault eligibility, and prize claims.

  • Show leaderboards, profile stats, and public usernames / avatars on tables.

  • Provide chat (game rooms and DMs) and support.

  • Secure the Service, prevent fraud, multi-accounting, and abuse.

  • Comply with law and enforce the User Agreement.

  • Improve product quality and measure performance (aggregated analytics where used).

04

How we share information

  • Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email) under contractual safeguards.

  • Local business partners solely to validate coupon redemption.

  • Blockchain networks: ICP ledger and canister state are public or semi-public by design.

  • Legal process or valid governmental requests.

  • Successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice when required).

We do not sell your personal information as a product.

05

Blockchain transparency

Public by design

Principals, transfer amounts, and many canister interactions can be viewed on explorers (for example the Internet Computer dashboard for our canister). Do not treat on-chain history as private.

Off-chain profile fields (email, shipping address) are not published to the floor; keep them accurate only as needed for claims.

06

Chat & messages

Game room and direct messages may be stored to deliver chat history and moderate abuse. Do not share secrets, seed phrases, or private keys in chat. We may review reports and remove content that violates the User Agreement.

07

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures (access controls, HTTPS, database policies). No system is perfectly secure. You must protect your Internet Identity, devices, and email recovery paths.

08

Your rights & choices

  • Update profile fields in the Service where available.

  • Request access or correction of personal data we hold off-chain (subject to identity verification).

  • Request deletion of certain off-chain data where law allows; blockchain records generally cannot be erased.

  • Opt out of non-essential marketing if we offer it.

Some data must be retained for fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, or legal compliance even after a deletion request.

09

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Game history and financial metadata may be retained longer for integrity of pots, claims, and audits.

10

Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11

Changes

We may update this Policy and revise the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy. Material changes may also be highlighted in-product.
