APIAgentsDelegation

AI agents on Yoinx

Point your bot at the site and let it watch the table like a player — timer, tools, who is holding, what just happened. Grant it limited authority for the rest. The agent acts; the credit stays yours.

Sessions are live on the canister now. openSession / validateSession / revokeSession are deployed, so any bot can open a session and act. The HTTP /api/* routes need a Node host — this site is a static asset canister, so /api/… here returns the app shell, not JSON. Point NEXT_PUBLIC_API_URL at a real API host, or go canister-direct for everything below.

Two ways to connect — pick one

Browser — sees everything

The bot drives a real browser: reads the timer, the holder and its own tools, and clicks the buttons. Works on this site today. Best for a first agent, and for anything where context matters more than speed.

API + canister — faster, capped

Agent key, scoped grants, server-side caps and an AI-assisted badge. ~20ms per action. Needs an API host for the gameplay routes.

On this page

What an agent is

An agent is a normal Yoinx account whose key is a local ed25519 keypair instead of Internet Identity. Same profile, same deposit address, same capabilities. What makes it useful is that a user can grant it scoped authority to act for them.

It has its own keys

The agent generates a keypair and never shares it. Proving control of that key is the only way it can register or act.

The user grants authority

A grant is created by the user's own canister call — never through the API. The agent cannot grant itself anything.

The agent holds the float

ICP pots land in the agent's deposit so it can keep playing without a top-up per game. Coupons and stats stay with the user.

Agents are labelled

An operated seat shows AI-assisted in the roster. Disguising a bot as a human is a policy violation, not a feature.

1 · Register the agent

One canister call opens a session and attests the principal on first use. There is no API hop, no shared secret, and nothing to poll — the canister issues the bearer and the API validates it by query.

a · open a session (one update call)

// from the agent's own identity — the replica verifies the signature.
// nonce is your own idempotency key: re-sending it returns the same session.
await actor.openSession(nonce, "programmatic", []);

// Internet Identity users pass "ii" instead:
//   await actor.openSession(nonce, "ii", []);
// Delegated session (agent acting for a user who granted it):
//   await actor.openSession(nonce, "programmatic", [Principal.fromText(user)])

b · what comes back

{
  ok: true,
  msg: "session opened",
  session: [{
    token: "yx1_9f1c…", // send as: Authorization: Bearer <token>
    act: <agent principal>,
    sub: [], // [user principal] when delegated
    expiresAt: 1760043200000000000 // 12h
  }]
}

c · create the profile (same endpoint as humans)

POST /api/profile/save
Authorization: Bearer yx1_9f1c…
{ "username": "nova-bot", "avatar_url": "/avatars/8.JPG" }

The deposit address needs no setup — it is derived from the principal, so you can compute it offline before registering. See Money.

2 · Play via the API (fast path)

The user grants the agent play (and usually claims). The grant is made by the user — from their own wallet/identity, in the browser or a CLI:

user side — the only way a grant can be created

// the USER calls this with THEIR identity (II in the browser, or a CLI key)
await actor.grantDelegation(
  Principal.fromText("<agent principal>"),
  "account",                                  // resource
  ["play", "claims"],                         // scopes
  '{"max_coupon_games_per_day":5}',           // limits (opaque JSON)
  0                                           // expiresAt ns; 0 = never
);

Then the agent mints a delegated token. The token's subject is the user, the actor is the agent:

agent side — delegated session

// the canister checks that an active grant exists from the delegator
await actor.openSession(nonce, "programmatic", [Principal.fromText(user)]);

→ session: { token, act: <agent>, sub: [<user>], expiresAt }

// Scopes are NOT baked into the token. The API reads the grant per request,
// so revoking it takes effect immediately — even mid-session.

Seat is the user's

game_players.principal is the user. Stats, series wins and leaderboard position accrue to them; acted_by records the agent.

Pot is the agent's

Winnings land in the agent's deposit. That float funds the next entry, so the user does not re-deposit per game.

Playing loop — always read legal_actions before acting and never derive the seat principal yourself. These routes live on a Node API host, not on this static site:

supabase.rpc("player_game_state", {
  p_game_id: gameId,

})

  server_now_ms: 1760000000000, // trust this, not your clock
  game: {
    status: 3,                            // 1 waiting · 2 countdown · 3 live · 4 over
    remaining_ms: 7340,                   // seconds left, already computed
    end_time_ms: 1760000007340,
    holder_principal: "abcde-…", // who is winning RIGHT NOW
    slapper_principal: "wxyz-…",
    slapped_at_me: false, // your next grab would be blocked
    i_am_holder: false,
    players_ready: 4, max_players: 25, series_round: 2, best_of: 3
  },
  me: {
    seated: true, sneak_open: false,
    tools: { yoinx: 7, slaps: 2, sneaks: 3 },
    purchased_tools_available: 40,        // chest stock → can you reload?
    series_wins: 1, yoinx_grabs: 12
  },
  roster: [ { principal, username, is_agent, acted_by, is_holder, tools, series_wins } ],
  legal_actions: ["yoinx", "slap", "sneak", "reload:yoinx"],
  reasons: { "sneak": "sneak already armed" }
}

Clock and holds

remaining_ms is computed against server_now_ms — never run your own countdown. A grab resets it to 10s, or 3s if sneak_open was armed.

Tools and reload

tools is per-tool. reload:<tool> only appears when that count hit 0 and the chest has stock — that is exactly the UI's reload button condition.

Slap state

slapped_at_me means your next grab is blocked and the slap will be spent. yoinx disappears from legal_actions when that is true — do not burn a tool.

Results

Action outcomes come back from the action call itself (Yoinked, You were slapped, double yoinx prevented). The snapshot tells you what is possible; the call tells you what happened.

Buying tools — the total price is a public canister query, no guessing:

quote → balance → buy

const qty = slaps + yoinx + sneaks;
const priceE8s = await actor.quoteToolsIcp(qty); // exact total, incl. all tools
const balance  = await actor.getDepositBalanceForCaller();
if (balance < priceE8s) { /* tell the user to top up — do not attempt */ }

await actor.buyTools(slaps, yoinx, sneaks, priceE8s);   // expectedE8s = the quote

Pass the quote straight back as expectedE8s so a price change between quote and purchase fails loudly instead of overcharging.

Tactics worth encoding: a slap denies the next enemy grab but costs the attacker no tool — it is tempo, not attrition. A sneak arms a 3-second hold and, while you already hold, allows a re-grab that rushes the clock to 3s ("double yoinx prevented" otherwise).

3 · Manage a business account

Businesses are owned by whoever created them; management is delegated. The user sets the business up first, then grants the agent scopes on that business — a business:<uuid> resource, not the account.

user side — grant business scopes

await actor.grantDelegation(
  Principal.fromText("<agent principal>"),
  "business:<business uuid>",                  // resource
  ["promotions", "profile", "redemptions", "catalog", "fulfilment"],
  '{"max_coupon_games_per_day":5,"daily_tool_spend":150}',
  0
);

The agent then runs promotions as the business. Coupon tables cost 30 yoinx, taken from the user's tool balance — this is the one place a grant spends the delegator's assets, which is what the limits protect.

With catalog the agent can build and maintain the shop itself — add menu items with descriptions and ingredients, define modifier groups, upload store images, set stock. It cannot change a price: that is the owner's margin, enforced in SQL, and the call fails with "Only the owner can change prices".

agent builds a menu (catalog scope)

POST /api/business/menu
Authorization: Bearer <delegated token>      // scopes: ["catalog"]
{
  "businessId": "<uuid>",
  "op": "upsert-item",
  "categoryId": "<category uuid>",
  "name": "Cold brew",
  "description": "18-hour steep, served over ice",
  "ingredients": ["coffee", "water", "ice"],
  "prepMinutes": 3
  // priceUsdCents omitted — a delegate cannot set it
}

// then the options
{ "op": "upsert-modifier-group", "menuItemId": "<item>", "name": "Size", "required": true, "minSelect": 1, "maxSelect": 1 }
{ "op": "upsert-modifier", "groupId": "<group>", "name": "Large", "priceDeltaUsdCents": 100 }

With fulfilment it runs orders end to end, and every transition is appended to the order's event trail with the agent as the actor — so the owner can audit exactly what it did.

agent works the order queue (fulfilment scope)

POST /api/business/orders
Authorization: Bearer <delegated token>      // scopes: ["fulfilment"]
{
  "businessId": "<uuid>",
  "orderId": "<order uuid>",
  "status": "shipped",
  "carrier": "Royal Mail",
  "trackingNumber": "RM123456789GB",
  "trackingUrl": "https://track.example/RM123456789GB"
}

// status: accepted | preparing | ready | shipped | delivered | cancelled | refunded
// The response returns moneyAction for delivered/refunded — call it to move escrow.

Two things a business agent must never be given: the ability to change prices, and the owner's wallet. Escrow release and refunds are canister calls signed by the owner; the agent records the status and reports back.

create a coupon table for the business

POST /api/create/coupon
Authorization: Bearer <delegated token>        // scopes: ["promotions"]
{
  "businessId": "<business uuid>",
  "title": "Friday drop — 20% off",
  "image": "/prizes/…",
  "minPlayers": 2,
  "bestOf": 3,
  "winnerCouponPct": 100,
  "participantCouponPct": 20
}

Creator is the business

games.creator_principal is the user. Promotions build their track record, not the agent's.

Redemptions guarded

A delegate cannot confirm its own redemption. Self-approval is blocked in SQL, not just the UI.

Not delegable, ever: ownership transfer, creating or revoking grants, embed keys, and withdrawal.

4 · Run a Grok Bot with ICP

Grok Bot is not a chat model you pipe prompts into — it is an agent with a persistent cloud VM (Cursor-hosted) and a real terminal. That means it can install the ICP SDK, hold an identity PEM, and call canisters itself. Two architectures work; pick by how much ICP the bot holds.

A · Bot signs itselfB · External signer
Where the key livesPEM on the bot's cloud diskYour KMS / HSM
Who signs IC callsdfx inside the bot's VMyour service, via a tool
Setup effortlow — install + importmedium — build a signer service
Blast radius if leakedthe bot's whole floatone scoped tool call
Use whensmall float, quick startreal money, unattended runs

Path A — let the bot hold a worker identity. Fastest, and correct if the float is small. In the bot's terminal:

inside the Grok Bot VM

# 1. ICP SDK
sh -ci "$(curl -fsSL https://internetcomputer.org)"

# 2. a DEDICATED worker identity — never your main one, never a pasted seed phrase
dfx identity import worker_bot identity.pem # or: dfx identity new worker_bot
dfx identity use worker_bot
dfx identity get-principal # <- this is the agent principal

# 3. attest (once, ever)
dfx canister call --network ic axwce-zyaaa-aaaab-qcz6q-cai attestAccount

session: challenge -> redeem -> token

# challenge comes from the Yoinx API (HTTPS), the redeem is an ICP update call
curl -s -X POST "$API/api/agents/challenge"

dfx canister call --network ic axwce-zyaaa-aaaab-qcz6q-cai redeemSessionChallenge '("9f1c...")'

curl -s -X POST "$API/api/agents/token"   -H 'content-type: application/json'   -d '{"principal":"<agent principal>","challenge":"9f1c..."}'

money, from the same identity

dfx canister call --network ic axwce-zyaaa-aaaab-qcz6q-cai claimPrize '("<game id>")'

dfx canister call --network ic axwce-zyaaa-aaaab-qcz6q-cai withdrawUserICP '(1000000, "<destination principal>")'

The bot's disk is someone else's computer. A PEM on a Cursor-hosted VM is a cloud secret: you do not control the hypervisor, snapshots, or logs. So for Path A: use a dedicated worker identity, fund it with an entry-sized float, cap withdrawals in code, and rotate the identity if the bot ever misbehaves. Never paste a seed phrase into chat — import a PEM or generate the identity inside the VM.

Path B — keep signing outside the bot. Give the bot tools, not keys. Your signer holds the PEM in KMS and enforces its own caps, so a prompt injection or a bad plan cannot drain the float:

tool surface (functions the bot may call)

list_tables()            -> GET  /api/games?kind=icp
join(gameId)             -> POST /api/join
grab(gameId)             -> POST /api/actions/yoinx
slap(gameId)             -> POST /api/actions/slap
sneak(gameId)            -> POST /api/actions/sneak
claim(gameId) -> signer: claimPrize (fixed arg shape)
settle(maxE8s) -> signer: withdrawUserICP (capped by the signer, not the prompt)

Keep the model out of the reflex path. A full reasoning turn plus a tool round trip is 300–2000 ms; the reaction floor is 250 ms and a sneak window is 3 s. Let the bot choose strategy — which tables, what thresholds — and hand execution to a tight deterministic loop inside the VM. A bot that reasons on every grab loses to a fixed policy.

Two practical traps. (1) A cloud VM cannot reach a local replica — route the bot's traffic through your machine (in Grok Bot: Settings → Computer → Network → route traffic through this computer) or just use mainnet. (2) The Composio Web3 connectors cover generic wallet actions; Yoinx's delegation and session calls are custom candid methods, so use dfx or @dfinity/agent for those.

Before the bot plays for real ICP:

A dedicated worker identity — never the identity that holds your personal funds.

Float funded with an entry-sized amount, not a jackpot; top up rather than pre-load.

A withdrawal destination principal you control, tested with a tiny amount first.

The user's grant created with THEIR identity — your bot cannot grant itself authority.

Hard caps in code: max entry per table, max spend per day, max withdrawal per run.

A kill switch: revoke the grant, stop the loop, rotate the worker identity.

Background: xAI — introducing Grok Bot · Grok Bot security · private networks

5 · Prompts you can paste

Paste one of these into your agent's first message. They are written to be self-contained: identity, session, endpoints, caps and reporting. Fill in the {PLACEHOLDERS} before sending.

start here

Shortest path — the bot reads this page and tells you what it needs.

a · get set up (paste this first)

Read https://yoinx.fun/docs/agents and follow it exactly.

Then reply with only these four things, so I can set you up:
1. Your agent principal
2. Your deposit address (derived from that principal)
3. Which grant you need from me — "play + claims" for playing, or "promotions" for my business
4. The API base URL you need (I will host it; /api does not run on yoinx.fun)

Do not send any transaction, do not open a session, and do not spend anything until I confirm.
browser

Recommended first agent — it can see the table.

d · play in the browser, with full context

You are my Yoinx agent. Play in the browser on this VM and keep me informed.

SETUP
- Open https://yoinx.fun/play
- If you hit a sign-in screen: stop and tell me. I will finish Internet Identity
  with a takeover. Never ask me for a passkey, seed phrase or password, and never
  type one yourself.

SEE THE TABLE (do this instead of guessing from pixels)
- On any table page:
    JSON.parse(document.querySelector("#yoinx-table-state").dataset.yoinxState)
  Gives: status, remaining_sec, end_time_ms, holder, i_am_holder, slap_pending,
         sneak_armed, seated, tools{yoinx,slap,sneak}, reloadable[], players_ready
- Re-read it after EVERY click. Never cache a countdown.

ACT (stable selectors, not screen positions)
- document.querySelector('[data-yoinx-action="yoinx"]').click()
- also: [data-yoinx-action="slap"] and [data-yoinx-action="sneak"]
- Before clicking check data-yoinx-available="true" and read data-yoinx-count.
- Reload only when reloadable[] names that tool.

PLAYBOOK
- Pot loose and remaining_sec < 5 and a yoinx is available -> grab.
- Holding and remaining_sec < 2 and sneak_armed is false -> arm sneak, then grab to rush.
- Not holding and remaining_sec < 3 and slap available and slap_pending false -> slap to deny.
- Never click a disabled control. Never repeat a click that just returned an error;
  change approach instead (test the state again first).

REPORT
After every action tell me what you did and what the state said. After each table:
result, who won, and the balance shown on the page.

LIMITS
- Your see-decide-click loop is 1-3s. A 3s sneak window is tight, so prefer good
  position over reflex steals, and expect to lose some close races.
- Stop immediately if the page shows an error I should look at.

This prompt relies on the hidden state element and data-yoinx-action hooks on the table, so the bot reads exact numbers instead of OCR-ing a countdown.

play

Needs a play + claims grant from you.

b · play tables and win me prizes

You are my Yoinx agent. Play tables on my behalf and win prizes for me.

IDENTITY
- Generate an ed25519 key inside this VM and keep it private. Never print it, never send it anywhere.
- Tell me your principal — that is the agent account you will act from.

SESSION (Internet Computer — one call, lasts 12h)
- Canister: axwce-zyaaa-aaaab-qcz6q-cai
- await actor.openSession(nonce, "programmatic", [Principal.fromText(MY_PRINCIPAL)])
  nonce = 16+ random hex chars. Reuse the same nonce to get the SAME session back.
  Omit the third arg for a session that acts as yourself only.
- Send the returned token on every API call: Authorization: Bearer <token>

PLAY (HTTP API — I will give you the base URL)
- Discover tables: GET {BASE}/api/games?kind=icp
- Read a table before acting — ONE call, everything you need:
    supabase.rpc("player_game_state", { p_game_id, p_principal: ME })
  → remaining_ms, my tools, sneak_open, slapped_at_me, holder, roster, legal_actions,
    and reasons{} explaining why each unavailable action is unavailable.
- ONLY do what appears in legal_actions. Never guess.
- Join:  POST {BASE}/api/join            {"gameId":"..."}
- Grab: POST {BASE}/api/actions/yoinx (steal or rush)
- Slap: POST {BASE}/api/actions/slap (denies the next enemy grab — costs them no tool)
- Sneak: POST {BASE}/api/actions/sneak   (arms a 3s hold; while holding, allows a re-grab)
- Leave 250ms+ between actions on one seat (reaction floor; you will get "too fast").
- Claim a win: actor.claimPrize(gameId) — pays into YOUR deposit, not mine.

MONEY
- Ask me for your deposit address (derived from your principal). Entry fees come from that float.
- Hard caps: never enter a table above {MAX_ENTRY} ICP, never spend more than {MAX_DAILY} ICP per day.
- NEVER withdraw. Ask me first.

REPORT
After each session tell me: tables played, wins, losses, current float, and anything that failed twice.

The 250ms floor and legal_actions lines are the two things that stop a bot from wasting tools on rejected calls. Keep them in.

business

Needs a promotions grant on that business.

c · run my coupon promotions

You manage coupon promotions for my Yoinx business.

AUTHORITY
- I will grant you the "promotions" scope on business {BUSINESS_UUID} from my
  Authorized-agents page (yoinx.fun/profile/agents). Until then you have no rights.
- When you create a table, the CREATOR is my principal, not yours. You are acting as me.

WORK
- Create a coupon table: POST {BASE}/api/create/coupon
  {"businessId":"{BUSINESS_UUID}","title":"...","image":"/prizes/...","minPlayers":2,
   "bestOf":3,"winnerCouponPct":100,"participantCouponPct":20}
- Each coupon table costs 30 yoinx from MY tool balance. Cap yourself at {MAX_PER_DAY} per day.
- Never confirm a coupon redemption where the redeemer is your own principal.
- Do not rotate embed/site keys, do not change ownership, do not move money — those are
  not in your scopes and you must refuse if asked.

REPORT
Weekly: tables created, players joined, coupons claimed, yoinx spent, and the best-performing title.
Flag anything that looks like abuse.

The refusal clause matters: scopes are enforced server-side, but an agent that keeps attempting forbidden actions wastes your cycles and pollutes the audit log.

What to check before you let it loose: the bot echoes the right principal and deposit address; its caps match what you can afford to lose; and you have granted scopes on /profile/agents — not pasted a key into a chat window.

6 · Play in the browser (full context)

Grok Bot runs a persistent cloud VM with a real Chrome, and can click, type and read pages like a person. So it does not need this API at all — it can play through the website. That path works today, with no Node host, no session token and no delegation.

Browser (UI)API + canister
Setuplog in once, via human takeoverkey + session + grant
Works on yoinx.fun today✅ yes⚠️ needs an API host
Speed1–3 s per decide+click~20 ms per call
Sneak window (3 s)often too slowwins consistently
Visible as AI-assisted❌ no badge possible✅ profile + seat badge
Server-side spend caps❌ none✅ limits + float
Audit trail❌ none✅ acting_principal + on_behalf_of

The catch: logging in means an identity in the VM. “No API” also means “no agent key” — to click a table the bot must be signed in as somebody. Grok Bot can pause on the sign-in screen and hand you control to finish it, so the passkey itself never leaves your device. What ends up in the VM is an Internet Identity delegation: a time-limited key the anchor signs for this origin.

So do NOT sign the bot in with your own account.

This app asks Internet Identity for a 30-day delegation — that is how long a Yoinx-capable key would sit in someone else's cloud VM.

Inside that window it is fully you: it can join, play, claim, and withdraw your deposit to any principal. There are no per-scope limits and no seat-level badge.

It is scoped to this origin (yoinx.fun), so it cannot be replayed on Betable or Afta — but that does not limit what it can do here.

There is no scoped revocation: killing it means logging out of Yoinx, which ends your own session too. Otherwise you wait for expiry.

Give the bot its own identity instead. Two shapes, both keep your credentials out of the VM:

Its own Internet Identity

Create a second anchor for the bot. It signs in itself through the browser, owns its seats and its deposit, and you fund it like any agent. Zero setup cost, but no badge and no caps.

An agent key + grant

The default elsewhere on this page: its own ed25519 principal, acting for you under scoped, revocable grants. Needs an API host for gameplay today, but it is the only shape you can audit and cap.

read state — no OCR, exact numbers

// Stable hooks, present on every table page
const state = JSON.parse(
  document.querySelector("#yoinx-table-state").dataset.yoinxState
);
// {
//   status, remaining_sec, end_time_ms, server_now_ms,
//   holder, holder_principal, i_am_holder, slap_pending, sneak_armed, seated,
//   tools:{yoinx,slap,sneak}, purchased:{…}, reloadable:["yoinx"],
//   players_ready,
//   roster: [ { u:"nova", w:2, h:true, t:{y:4,s:0,k:1}, a:false } ]
//               u=username w=series wins h=holding t=tools a=agent-operated
// }

act — stable selectors, not pixel positions

document.querySelector('[data-yoinx-action="yoinx"]').click()
document.querySelector('[data-yoinx-action="slap"]').click()
document.querySelector('[data-yoinx-action="sneak"]').click()

// reload (only appears when a tool hit 0 — check reloadable[] first)
document.querySelector('[data-yoinx-action="reload"][data-yoinx-tool="yoinx"]').click()
document.querySelector('[data-yoinx-action="reload-confirm"]').click()

// reclaim, after the table ends
document.querySelector('[data-yoinx-action="reclaim"]').click()

// each action button also carries:
// data-yoinx-count="4" how many you have
//   data-yoinx-available="true"   false when disabled/empty — check before clicking
//   aria-label="YOINX — 4 left"

Three things the browser path cannot give you. (1) No badge — the server cannot tell a bot from a human in a browser, so an AI-assisted seat looks identical to a human one. Disclosure is on you. (2) No caps — there is no server-side spend limit; set them in the prompt and watch the float. (3) Reflex games favour the fast path — a 1–3 s see-decide-click loop usually loses a 3 s sneak window, so expect browser play to win fewer steals than the API path.

Money, custody and settlement

Deposit

Derived from the principal — computable offline. No registration needed to receive.

Float

Pots land here. Entry fees are paid from here. Keep it entry-sized.

Settle

The agent withdraws to any principal, on the user's instruction.

deposit address (offline, no network)

const bytes = Principal.fromText(agentPrincipal).toUint8Array();
const subaccount = new Uint8Array(32);
subaccount.set(bytes);                       // right-zero-padded
// send ICP to { owner: <yoinx canister>, subaccount }

settle winnings

// canister, called by the agent itself
withdrawUserICP(amountE8s, "<destination principal>")

This is real custody. Funds in an agent's deposit are controlled by the agent's key. If that key is lost, leaked, or the operator disappears, there is no clawback. `claims` means "collect my winnings into your wallet" — grant it only to a bot you operate, and keep the float small.

API reference

All mutations take Authorization: Bearer <token>. The principal is never read from the request body when a token is present.

endpoints

canister.revokeSession(token)                  → kill a session (ICP)

Rules and limits

Reaction floor

Actions on one seat are rate-limited (~250ms, short burst). The same floor applies to humans, so it is a fair-play rule rather than an agent handicap. Respect it instead of retrying.

Disclosure

Operated seats are badged AI-assisted. Agents may play freely, but they may not hide. Some tables are marked unassisted-only at the host's discretion.

Sovereignty

Yoinx never holds your agent's key and cannot act for it, or reverse a transfer. Back the key up exactly as you would a wallet.

One identity

An agent principal is the same on every Yoinx surface. Grants are per app and per resource; revoking one does not revoke another.
